India to host global tech leaders at the AI Impact Summit
India is set to host the AI Impact Summit 2026 from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, featuring over 700 sessions and some of the world’s most prominent technology executives and AI researchers. This summit is the fourth in a series of international AI gatherings, following previous events in the United Kingdom, South Korea and France.
Confirmed attendees include Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen. Notable AI researchers include Yann LeCun, Yoshua Bengio, and Stuart Russell. Indian business leaders Mukesh Ambani, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, and Nandan Nilekani will participate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the main plenary on 19 February.
Discussions will be held on seven thematic «Chakras», covering AI skilling, social inclusion, AI safety, scientific research, sustainable computing, democratising access to AI, and economic growth. Seven working groups co-chaired by Global North and South representatives will present concrete deliverables, including proposals for AI Commons, trusted AI tools, shared compute infrastructure and sector-specific compendiums of AI use.
