Groundbreaking Russia-India tech association aims to spur innovation
Innopraktika, a Moscow-based non-governmental development organisation, has announced plans to establish a joint Russian and Indian technology association and engineering centre with bases in both countries.
The Russian Trade Mission in India’s announcement of the project follows a recent visit to New Delhi by an Innopraktika delegation who spent their time in the Indian capital engaged in discussions with members of the Indian business community. According to the announcement, “the parties discussed the nuances of operating in the Indian market and explored the prospects for high-tech projects in the country.” These initiatives aim to foster deeper scientific and industrial collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote the development of cutting-edge technological solutions designed for both Indian and global markets.
Established in 2012, Innopraktika is a Russian organisation dedicated to advancing national human capital by supporting the mechanisms of an innovative economy. It includes the National Intellectual Reserve Centre at Moscow State University and the National Intellectual Development Foundation that supports the work of students and young researchers.
Russia has previously announced its plans to establish manufacturing operations in India.
